Rose was picked up by an animal control officer in Virginia while she was wandering the streets. She was shy and withdrawn from some people, but after a few minutes of meeting her at the shelter, she was in my lap.

It was obvious that she was young, our vet estimates her at about 2 years old, possibly had a litter and needed medical attention for her eyes.  Her eye surgery went great and her spay gave us a surprise. She had pyromtera, if left untreated, that alone could have been the end of this sweet girl. She recovered extremely well and we soon began to see the "real Rose" out of the shelter, in a home and recovered.

She's so sweet and pretty. She's young with so much to offer, like a Rose Bud that hasn't blossomed yet.

She loves everything! Except cats, no cats for her! Want to walk, run, play fetch, go for a drive? She's your girl! Want to relax and read a book? She'll put her head in your lap. Want to watch a movie? She'll lay on the couch and snuggle. Oh, she loves her snuggles and cuddles!

Bedtime? Sometimes she'll slip in the bed and I let her. She wants belly rubs before she goes to sleep. When the alarm goes off, it can go one of two ways. She might put a paw on you with a look that says "hit snooze, let's cuddle", or...she'll take all the covers off you!

This smart girl has taken right to crate training. She walks well on a leash, some gentle reinforcement to keep her on track and she's right there.

Knows all basic commands including sit, lay down, stay, come, fetch, give paw and she even gives hugs!! She's a rather petite little thing, so I don't mind the hugs and she's very gentle. She wants to play with every dog she meets and shows no aggression (except those pesky felines). She's also very submissive to my other female and male.

For a Rottie, she may be small but she thinks she is mighty!  She is the only one that barks when there's a stranger at the door and she sounds so fierce and is so little, it's adorable! She also does the Rottie lean, but unlike my other Rottie at almost twice her size, her lean doesn't almost knock me down.

She's beautiful, smart, loving and as loyal as any Rottie twice her size!
